Membership in Pull-thru Network
Membership in Pull-thru Network is open to all persons interested in the development and welfare of children and adults who have had, or will have, a pullthrough type surgery, or have a permanent ostomy for the correction of a congenital anorectal, colorectal or urogenital disorder or disease. PTN offers a variety of services to its members:
*Member Networking - Helping Families Connect With One Another - To help our members find support among other families with similar issues, Pull-thru Network maintains the largest database in the world of families and individuals affected by these disorders. PTN members can network with other member families based on a wide range of criteria. Members can ask to be connected with others based on geographic area, the age and/or gender of their child, and/or their child''s diagnosis. Only those members who give PTN permission to release their contact information will have their names placed on a networking list.
*Chat Room and Message Boards - These services allow for quick and easy connection with other members to share support and information. Members are encouraged to ask and answer questions and share ideas. These services provide a forum for understanding both the frustrations and celebrations that are part of daily life with our special children.
*PTNsupport Email Group (Listserv) - Members of Pull-thru Network can subscribe to the PTNsupport email group.
*The Pull-thru Network News - PTN's newsletter reports on research, new techniques or procedures, bowel management programs, ostomy information and care, personal stories, and practical advice on the everyday care of our children. There are also features of interest for teens and young adults. The PTN News is mailed to members four times a year and previous issues are available for reading in the Members Only area of this website.
*Meetings, Seminars and Family Picnics - Pull-thru Network participates in educational seminars, member meetings and family picnics, often with local host families. A schedule of upcoming events is published in The PTN News, on the message board area of the website, and is available from the PTN office.
*Pull-thru Network Family Assistance Program - The Family Assistance Program helps those members who need financial assistance to travel to obtain medical care for their child. The assistance has ranged from airfare to gas money. There are criteria to be met and each request is considered on a case-by-case basis by the Pull-thru Network Board of Directors.
*Lending Library - Pull-thru Network maintains a lending library and members can request a book for up to a month at no charge other than return postage. Contact the PTN office for a list of available titles.

Every member helps to strengthen our network, and helps us fulfill PTN's mission of providing information, education, support and advocacy for parents, children, teens and adults who are living with the impact of these conditions on their lives.
