đź’™ Hirschsprung Disease Awareness Monthđź’™
In September, we raise awareness for Hirschsprung disease and honor the strength of those living with it, their families, caregivers, and the healthcare teams who support them. World Hirschsprung Awareness Day is officially September 15!
Hirschsprung disease is a rare congenital condition that affects the large intestine and requires surgery, ongoing bowel management, and lifelong follow-up for many individuals. It occurs when nerve cells in the large intestine fail to develop and affects about 1 out of every 5000 people. Raising awareness helps promote earlier diagnosis, improve access to care, reduce stigma, and remind those affected that they are not alone. Please consider donating to Pull-thru Network and REACH HD to help support those navigating this chronic condition.
Every story shared helps build understanding, compassion, and hope. Together, we can make a difference.
